Collect and dress up

Gacha Life has several uses, but mainly your goal is to collect gems for the gacha system.

Make comics and scenes

This is a simplistic game where you collect items and dress up characters for a variety of activities such as minigames, but simplicity isn’t always good. There are still plenty of bugs to quash and security features to improve.
Gacha

Gacha Life is a game with many functions. It’s an online chatroom, gacha lottery, character creator, and a collection of minigames.

Unlike the mobile edition of the game, this version has no uncensored chat, which poses a risk to children.

The premise of the game lies in its name, where you’ll receive items through the gacha system, which works like a lottery. As you play, your wardrobe will expand, and you’ll have more characters available.

To earn more gems you can play minigames. There are many available, ensuring that you won’t get bored any time soon. Plus, you won’t need an internet connection to have fun on the apps, or minigames.

Once you’ve collected enough items in your wardrobe, you can use one of the eight character slots to design your character. Once you’re happy you can take them or another NPC and make scenes to share with your friends, but these features sound better in practice than they are in execution.

Where can you run this program?

Gacha Life is available for Windows 10 computers, Android 4.0 and up as well as iOS 8.0 or later.

Is there a better alternative?

Yes. For adults, there is Second Life, a game with tons of customization that will cater to all your needs and wants with a market full of user-made content. For kids, Cubic castles is a great sandbox title with safe social encounters.

Our take

Gacha Life is a pointless application that will waste your time and expose your kids to the unfavorable community that lurks on it..

Should you download it?

No. If you’re looking for a game to play with a dress-up mechanism, any other game with character customization is a better choice than this.

Lows

  • Glitches can break the game
  • Demo version
  • No chat censorship

The perfect blend of storytelling and avatar design

If you are looking for a well made, and easy to use, animation app, this is it. Gacha life was originally made for the app store, but there is a demo version available for Windows. Gacha Life is great for animated storytelling, avatar customization, and interacting with other players.

Gacha Life: the scratch equivalent for animation

This program is one of the best for anybody interested in learning how animation works or wants to get into animation.

Gacha Club

Gacha Life uses in-game currency and energy. Your avatar requires energy to interact with NPCs and you use in-game currency to buy one of 100 gift items. If you run out of stamina, there’s a variety of things you can do. There are minigames which earn you in game currency, and they don't use stamina.

While waiting on your energy to recharge, you can also do things in studio mode and life mode. Studio mode allows you to create different scenes, complete with poses, backgrounds, and on screen texts. Life mode allows you to explore different parts of a virtual town and interact with other players, as well as NPCs.

This program is one for anybody interested in learning how animation works, or wants to get into animation. If someone was to claim that Gacha Life is like Scratch except that one works with animation, and the other is for programming that wouldn’t be too much of a stretch. Both use easy to understand interfaces, that are kid friendly.

Where can you run this program?

The full version of this game is available on the Apple and Android app store. A demo version of the software is also available on PC.

Is there a better alternative?

Gacha Life offers avatar customization and the ability for you to be an animator. Unfortunately, there aren't other games that offer both. There are countless games online that offer one or the other, but not a whole lot that offers both.

Our take

This game is a great kid friendly game that is chock full of minigames. Additionally, it also has a variety of play modes, which makes the game feel like two or three different games in one.

Should you download it?

Yes. If you like animation or want to get into animation, this would be a good one for you to check out.
